With deduplication running and assuming a 20:1 deduplication ratio, virtual capacity scales to 10PB with ingest throughput up to 4.3TB/hr. And for those customers who need maximum performance, deduplication can run as a background task outside the backup window. In that case, NetApp VLT using standard hardware compression can achieve ingest throughput up to 8.2TB/hr. Deduplication can be selective enabled on a per-virtual library basis for maximum flexibility.
